The passive implantable transponders provide an electronic solution for animal identification that causes the animal no discomfort. The 1.4 mm thin and only 8.5 mm long transponder is smaller than a grain of rice. With a code in accordance with ISO 11784, it is particularly suitable for small animals such as mice and birds, but also for cats and puppies, because the pin diameter and length are smaller than conventional products.
The transponder is activated by the reader using electromagnetic waves. It then transmits its code to the reader. Here the code is decoded, stored with the date and time for further processing by a computer and shown on the LC display. Depending on the reader system, the computer is connected via RS232, USB or Bluetooth interfaces.follows via an RS232 or USB interface.
INJECTION:Each transponder is supplied individually, sterile-packed in a needle and ready for use.The needle, with the transponder inside, is quickly inserted into the special injector via the Luer-Lock connection. This allows the user to perform many injections per hour.
The needle forms a puncture channel with its special double cut. A core rod (stylet) is located inside the needle. Together with the injector, this ensures that the transponder is held in position. The tissue behind the transponder closes immediately. A small incision of approx. 2 mm remains, which heals quickly and without complications. There are disposable and reusable injectors.
