ID 162 Injectable ISO transponders

For decades, passive injectable transponders have provided an electronic solution for animal identification that causes the animal no discomfort. The micro-transponder, no bigger than a grain of rice that sits under the skin, contains a code in accordance with ISO 11784.

The passive transponder does not require a battery and therefore has an almost unlimited lifespan. The transponder is activated by the reader using electromagnetic waves. It then transmits its code to the reader. Here the code is decoded, stored with date and time for further processing by a computer and shown on the LC display. The computer is connected via an RS232 or USB interface.

INJECTION:

Each transponder is supplied individually, sterile-packed in a needle and ready for use.
The needle, with the transponder inside, is quickly inserted into the special injector via the Luer-Lock connection. This allows the user to perform many injections per hour.
The needle forms a puncture channel with its special double cut. A core rod (stylet) is located inside the needle. Together with the injector, this ensures that the transponder is held in position.

The tissue behind the transponder closes immediately. A small incision of approx. 2.6 mm remains, which heals quickly and without complications.
There are disposable and reusable injectors.play. The computer connection is made via an RS232 or USB interface.
