The small transponder consists of a medically safe bioglass capsule containing a microchip. The chip is passive and contains no energy source. The transponder is activated by the reader and sends its globally unique identification number back to the reader, where it is displayed on an LCD screen. The technology is standardised throughout the world (ISO standards 11784/11785). An unbeatable
advantage is its functionality for almost all pets: Ideal for dogs, cats, horses, birds, small animals, amphibians, reptiles and expensive ornamental fish. The necessary information about the holder and the animal is recorded free of charge in central databases and can be called up at any time - ideal protection for the well-being of the animal.

The microcapsule grows together with the animal's connective tissue in a very short time and does not migrate. In Germany alone, around 300,000 (!) animals escape every year. Most of them cannot be brought home because the owners cannot be traced. With a lot of luck, they end up in an animal shelter...

Either the vet or the pet owner can register the unique identification number. In Germany, the German Animal Welfare Association in Bonn is responsible for the
pet register and Tasso e.V. in Hattersheim. Registration is possible via the Internet: www.tierschutzbund.de or www.tasso.net

If a registered animal goes missing, an entry is made in the missing persons list after notification of the loss. On the one hand, the Animal Welfare Association forwards a search report to all the responsible authorities of the state government for animal experiments and immediately notifies the owner when finders, authorities, vets or animal shelters report the discovery of the animal.
