This reader decodes all passive animal transponders according to DIN/ISO 11 784/11 785 with Annex A (FDX-B, HDX, Destron, Datamars, trovan). The device is also suitable for use in the animal sector.
The transponder codes, together with the date and time and a further attribute (A to Z), can be saved for later transmission to a computer or, in online mode, transmitted directly to a terminal or PC. The connection to the computer is made via the integrated RS 232 interface. The reader is supplied with power via replaceable lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, as used in modern camcorders.
An external charging station is included in the scope of delivery. This allows the reader to be used with an additional battery while charging. The reader has been specially developed for outdoor use. The ergonomically designed housing with IP 65 protection allows it to be used in the rain, and further accessories such as data cables, additional rechargeable batteries, dual chargers and transport cases complete the range. The reading distance depends on the transponder type. The graphic on the right shows guide values for the reading distances.
